Terms & conditions
The terms on which Surat Na Vighneshwar provides this website, its bookings and its membership.
Last updated 9 August 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Surat Na Vighneshwar, a Ganesh Utsav Mandal, at Surat, Gujarat, India (“we”, “us”, “the mandal”). Throughout these terms, “you” means any person who visits this website, creates an account, makes a booking or takes a membership.
By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
2. What we offer
Through this website you can:
- Reserve a place at an aarti on a published date and time, subject to the capacity set by the committee.
- Book a darshan window so that you visit the pandal at an allotted time.
- Take a membership of the mandal for the period stated on the membership page (currently Festival Year 2026, ₹501.00).
- View photographs and films from the current and previous years.
These are participation services for a religious and cultural festival. No physical goods are sold on this website and nothing is shipped.
3. Your account
You need an account to make a booking. You agree to give accurate details, to keep your password confidential, and to tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
We may suspend or close an account that has been used to give false information, to make bookings that are not genuine, or in a way that disrupts the festival or other devotees.
4. Bookings
- Every aarti and darshan slot has a fixed capacity. Places are allotted in the order that bookings are completed.
- A booking is confirmed only when payment succeeds where a fee applies. Until then it is held as “awaiting payment” and the place may be released.
- The name and mobile number on a booking should belong to a person who will attend. The committee may ask for this at the pandal.
- Please arrive within the stated window. Places not taken up by the end of the window may be given to devotees waiting in person.
- Aarti and darshan timings follow the religious calendar and local conditions. If a slot has to be changed or cancelled, we will contact you on the number and e-mail on your booking and offer an alternative slot or a refund.
5. Membership
Membership is a voluntary contribution towards the running of the utsav. It is valid for the period shown on the membership page and does not create any ownership, management right or share in the mandal or its property. Membership does not guarantee a place at any particular aarti or darshan slot.
6. Fees and payments
- All amounts are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and include all applicable charges unless stated otherwise on the page.
- Payments are processed by PayU, a third-party payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or net-banking credentials.
- Your payment is also governed by the terms of PayU and of your bank or payment provider.
- If an amount is debited but your booking does not show as paid, contact us with the transaction reference. We will verify it with PayU and either confirm the booking or return the amount as set out in the refund & cancellation policy.
7. Conduct at the pandal
A booking is an invitation to a place of worship. We ask that you dress and behave respectfully, follow the instructions of volunteers and security staff, and observe any restriction on photography, video or drone use that the committee announces. The committee may refuse entry, without refund, where a person's behaviour puts the safety or the sanctity of the event at risk.
8. Photographs and films
The utsav is photographed and filmed. By attending you accept that you may appear in photographs or films published on this website or on the mandal's social media. If you would like an image of yourself or your family removed, write to us and we will take it down.
All photographs, films, text and design on this website belong to the mandal or to its contributors. You may share them for personal and devotional purposes with credit. You may not use them commercially without our written permission.
9. Availability of the website
We aim to keep the website available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the site for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw any feature.
10. Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care in running this website and the bookings made through it. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a booking or membership is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, public order restrictions, directions of the police or local authority, and interruptions to power or network.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Surat, Gujarat.
